Live Well Omaha Kids is proud to support Sherman Elementary as they offer 5-4-3-2-1 Go!® programming for their students enrolled in the after school program. Briana White – Assistant Site Director at the Sherman After School Program through Civic Nebraska – leads the session for students. She teaches them about the countdown and helps them practice physical activity through dance.

Briana shares “I am so excited for our 5-4-3-2-1 Go!® sessions this year! Tuesday we introduced our 2nd and 3rd graders to the program. We start by having them name as many fruits and vegetables as possible, then we try to add a few they may not be familiar with.  Next, we start discussing the different ways to be physically active. We have teams race each other, build obstacle courses, and play Heads Up. Finally, we serve the children fresh fruits, veggies, yogurt, fruit strips, alkaline water, and cheese! Once a student can explain what 5-4-3-2-1 Go!® stands for, they get a prize! We love 5-4-3-2-1 Go!® at Sherman Elementary!”
